Are You Making Resolutions or Goals?

Hi all,
Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas celebrating our Savior's birth into this world.   As you think towards the new year, I encourage you to make a goal that will help you grow closer to the Lord.  Not a New Year's Resolution but a goal...something that you want to and will strive to accomplish.  I encourage you to give your goal to the Lord and allow Him to help you meet your needs to accomplish it.  A goal is something you set for yourself, it can be short term or long term, but it is something that you must really want and know that you can accomplish.  A resolution is something that we normally set for ourselves and try to accomplish it for about 2 weeks, when it is no longer something we prioritize.  Make a goal to grow closer to the Lord, maybe it involves praying more frequently throughout the day, maybe it is reading your Bible at least once a day, reading your Bible through in one year, breaking a bad habit that keeps you from honoring God with your whole life, or maybe something else that you can think of.  Is it possible that you just need to make a goal to make your life pleasing to God?  I hope you will come up with a goal for your new year, and I hope that your 2013 will be the most awesome year yet for you.  Give your year to God...dedicate it Him...let Him have it! Do not be afraid of the new excited!  Know that God is with you!

Isaiah 41:10 - "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Philippians 3:14- "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Also, I have created a facebook page for my H.O.P.E. Ministry so please check it out and "like" it! It is called Rebekah's Hope Ministries.

Remember Christmas Started with Christ!

Hey Everyone!!
Hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving!  Praise the Lord for all His blessings He so graciously gives us! And don't you love that Christmas comes right after Thanksgiving?  We can be thankful for the greatest gift that we could ever receive...God sending Jesus to be born on this Earth so that He would one day die for our sins and rise from the dead so that we can now ask Him to save us and be saved! WOW! What a gift! I encourage you this Christmas season to remember the reason we celebrate.
Remember the miracle that took place in Bethlehem many years ago.
Remember that Christmas started with Christ.
Remember that without God, you and I would have never been created.
Remember that God gave you the best gift you could ever the way...have you received it?
Remember that Jesus gave His life for you.
Remember that Christmas is about Christ.

As we go about our days in December, try not to get caught up in all the craziness, and if it happens anyway (because many times it does), remember to step back and remember why you are really celebrating.  You see Christmas is not about what we can get or even what we can give, but it is about the Giver of all things...and that is God!  It is okay to give gifts and receive, God wants to bless us, just remember who truly is your Giver- God! Ask God to keep you in His Spirit this season and ask Him to help you remember the reason you celebrate.  Christmas will mean much more :)

Merry Christmas!

Isaiah 9:6 -"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon hHs shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Luke 2:13-14- "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Are you trusting?

Hey Friends,
I hope you are having a blessed day.  Today I want to give you a quick illustration of trusting.  This may sound silly, but I think it has great truth.  My dog was sitting on one side of the couch recently and I think I must have called him or wanted him to come on my side of the couch and there was something blocking his walking path in the middle seat of the couch which only left him a small spot to walk across the middle seat without falling off.  He thought about coming and then acted like he was not coming with such a small space.  He is funny anyway about how much space he has! :-)  So anyway I reached out my arm and held his collar and he walked across.  You see, he wanted to make sure I had hold of him so that in case he fell, I would hopefully have grabbed him! By the way...just in case you are wondering..he made it across safely :-)   Anyway, the point here is that sometimes I think that we are like that....we cannot move because we feel that we may not be able to do it alone.  But you see, you aren't doing it alone....if it is something that Jesus has laid on your heart to do, then He will be with you and He will be holding your hand the whole way.  And there's something else too, He will make sure you get where He wants you safely.  I don't mean the whole way is going to be easy but that with Jesus holding your hand, you will be able to make it!  Trust Jesus today...with your whole life.  And by the way, if you haven't trusted Him with eternity, do it today.  Give God everything and turn it over to HIM! Ask Him to save you and come into your life today if you haven't done that already! And if you have and you are already a Christian, maybe you have fallen off the path that God wants you following.  Maybe you need a place to turn can turn around and run back to Jesus right now.  He has His arms wide open waiting for Him with everything you have.  This is something that we all need to work on including myself! Won't you come back to the One who created you, today?!

Psalm 13:5-6- "But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.  I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me."

Psalm 28:7- "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."

Election day!

Hey friends,

Very quick today....but just want to say I hope you go out and vote!! Remember to vote based on Biblical principles and what you know God would want for our country.  The decision should be clear.  We need to be praying that our nation goes back to being a nation under GOD! He is almighty, He knows what is going to happen today with the election and He already knows everything that will happen with whomever gets elected!  He does hold the future.  No matter who is elected, He is still in control and He allowed that person to be in office for a reason. God has a plan... a plan for you, a plan for your family, and a plan for our nation.  No matter who is elected...God is still good and still on the throne!

Hope you are all having a fabulous week....let me ask you to pray for me.  The Lord has so graciously blessed me with another opportunity to share my testimony and my hope ministry (I beleive I mentioned this in an earlier post, and now it is only a week away!) with a group of people next week! Please be in prayer that GOD leads me with what to say and that He continues to open up more opportunities!

Psalm 33:12 - "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."

Are you serving on His mission field? (Part 3)

Hey everyone,
I hope you are all doing well! I want to share a Bible story that you most likely have heard at some point. In Judges 7, the LORD allows us to read about Gideon's army.  I want you to remember that Gideon is the man that wanted to absolutely make sure God wanted him to do the job.  God did, and He showed Gideon that, through many things that Gideon asked.  I think this is so cool.  Now you will have to read Judges 6-8 to get the full story but here is a brief overview....
When Gideon knew God wanted him to do the job of saving Israel from the Midianites, a bunch of men were going to help Gideon with his mission.  Well God told Gideon that he needed to get rid of some of the men because there were too many.  So Gideon did as God told him to and told the people that anyone that was fearful could go back so 22,000 left.  There were only 10,000 people left now.  But God came back and said again that there were still too many people.  So Gideon took the people to the water like God told him to and said all the people that got on their knees to drink by lapping the water like a dog was to go home and the ones that put their hand to their mouth to drink got to stay.  Well only 300 put their hand to their mouth so only 300 stayed! Well of course the Midianite army was much much larger than 300 people! But God told them that HE would deliver them so they went and did just as the LORD said and the Lord did just as He said and He delivered them! Now you need to go read the chapters to find out the rest of the details! :) But woah....God wanted to show the people that it was HIM that was fighting for was not them.  You see we can't do anything without GOD! We would not be here without God, He created us.   This true story is so amazing and it shows us that God is who delivers us and helps us every step of the way.  No matter what or where God calls you to serve Him, He will prepare you and help you every step of the way.  You see it is not our mission is HIS mission field and HE allows us to serve HIM if we have first accepted HIM as Lord and Savior and second surrendered our life to HIS will.

Judges 7:7-9 - "And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place. So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley. And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand."

Psalm 34

Hi All,
I would like to take a break from the "Are you serving on your mission field" posts, and we will come back to those very soon!
Today I would like to share with you a passage of Scripture that the Lord has shown me the past few days, and it is just so full of hope!   The passage is Psalm 34 and if you are not familiar with it, or even if you are, I encourage you to go read through it.  It is not a long chapter, but one that you will find hope in!  There are several things about the chapter that I would like to point out.  I also have a Life Application Bible and this helps so much sometimes bring Application to your daily life.  Look into finding one of these if you do not already own one!
Anyway, the chapter speaks about God delivering us from our fears, troubles, broken hearts.  It reminds us that God is good and that we must trust in HIM! You see, if you want Him to deliver you, you must beleive that He can.  This is something that we as humans are so guilty of...we ask the Lord for something and then do not beleive that He can do it.  This is not good at can God still do what you asked? Yes, but you must beleive!  Verse 14 says; "Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it." In verse 14, we are reminded to get away from evil, do what you know is right, look for peace and make sure you do not give up until you find it.  And where can you find true peace? Only in GOD!   He then tells us again in verse 17 that He is delivering us from all our troubles! Wow! A second time in the same chapter, once in verse 6 and again in verse 17. I love what God says in verse 22...listin to this... "The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate."  So He is saying He can redeem you and if you have accepted Him as Savior and confessed that you are a sinner and asked HIM to save you then you are already redeemed! And He says the redeemed that trust Him....will NEVER be desolate which means "guilty." And you trust Him to save you and redeem you so trust Him with your everyday life! We all need to remember to do that! What a great picture of His sweet love for us! I mean He has redeemed us and we are no longer guilty because JESUS paid the price for our sins and took our punishment on Himself! Remember this as you go about your days! You are redeemed by the blood of Jesus! Can I hear an Amen?!

You all have a fantastic weekend and remember to share God's love! And go read Psalm 34 for some awesome encouragement!

Part 2 Serving On Your Mission Field "For Such A Time As This"

Hey all!
I  hope you are all enjoying this beautiful October weather! As I looked out my window this morning I noticed some yellow leaves on the ground and then saw the beautiful leaves on a tree outside turning yellow.  Isn't our GOD so creative?! I mean the leaves change colors and fall off the trees in the fall and don't you just love those pretty fall colors?! The Lord has blessed us so much and sometimes we are so busy that we do not even notice the work God is doing.  Do you get so busy that sometimes you don't even pay attention to what you are supposed to be doing? I know I do...we get so focused on what has to be done here and now that we lose focus on what we are really here to do.  We are here to glorify God with our lives.  He wants us to bring our life like a sacrifice to Him and tell Him that whatever He wants is what we want.  This is very hard and something that we all need to work on.  I think so many times we get focused and think "earthly" when God wants us to think "eternally."  We need to focus on what God wants us to do and not get so tangled and busy in things that really do not matter eternally.  You see, eternally, it really does not matter what job we had or what car we drove or how many friends we had... but it is does matter how much we honored God with our lives and how much time we spent with Him and how many lives we witnessed to, those things do matter.  You see we must not forget that God has us where we are, "for such a time as this."

In Esther 4, we are reminded that God has us where we are in life, "for such a time as this."  What time in your life are you going through right now...whatever it is...God is there.
Esther 4:14- "For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Are you serving on your mission field? Part 1

Hey Everyone!
Hope you are doing fabulous, want to share a little hope with you today :)
I have been reminded that just because we are not in a foreign country does not mean that we are not on a mission field.  Now some people are called to the mission field in another country and that is fantastic! But let me remind all of us that just because we are not in that foreign country does not mean that we cannot be missionaries here where the Lord has placed us at this moment.  If you are in the center of God's will, you are where God wants you to be.  If He has placed you in a small town or a large town or called you to a place far far away from where you would consider "home", you are still called to be His missionary.   You see we are ALL called to be His missionaries, if we have accepted Him into our life.  He wants us to go and tell people about Him.  This can be so so hard, especially if you are in a place where the Word of God and His story are not mentioned much.  It is hard, let me tell you it is, I am still working on the courage to just start that conversation with people.  However, God calls us to be missionaries everywhere we go! When you leave your house in the morning, you are entering the mission field.   And for some, you may even have people that live in your home that do not know Christ so home would be your mission field as well.  You see God places us in places where He wants us, calls us places where He knows He will help us get, and sends us places He knew we would not want to go on our own.  Have you been called to do something greater than what you are doing right now?  Sometimes I feel as though I just know God has something bigger out there and something that I just can't really imagine yet what He exactly wants me to do.  Do you feel that way?  I am nothing special because I have that feeling.  It is not anything that you can't have! You can have that feeling and ask God to show you what He wants and He will! You see God is calling, but we have to be open to hear the call.  If you want to be used in a greater way than you are right now, then let me tell you, God will use you! You must want it, ask for it, wait for it.  He has got it!  You have been called to more!

Romans 10:14 - "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

Acts 1:8 - "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Fall blessings

Hey Everyone!
Hope you are having a beautiful last official week of summer.  Fall begins this weekend and isn't it so cool to see our awesome God change the seasons.  I'm not sure about you, but I really enjoy the fall of the year.  Those chilly mornings, fall festivals, leaves changing colors, and the special holidays such as Thanksgiving.  I hope you will fill your fall with opportunities to serve our Creator of the universe.  He gives us new seasons- 4 new seasons each year.  Isn't that awesome?  God sends His love in so many different forms.  Remember to give thanks this fall for everything.  Our God has got everything in His hand! What an encouragement! Thanksgiving is not the only time we are to give thanks.  Hope you will find ways to reach out to the lost or hurting this fall! Remember to share the Gospel with your words and your actions! So hard and scary at times (if you try to talk to someone about salvation) just remember a great way to get started is to ask if they go to church anywhere and that gives you ground to go into the plan of salvation which is to Ask the Lord Jesus to save you, Beleive that Jesus died and rose again from the grave and Confess that you are a sinner. -- The ABC plan.

Jeremiah 5:24 - "Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest."

I Thessalonians 5:18- "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Acts 1:8- "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Do you have your power turned on?!

Hey all!
So sorry I have not been posting as much lately.  I really want to get back and post at least once every few days.  Lord willing I will be able to do that.  College is keeping me busy!
One update on my ministry.  The Lord has once again opened a door for me to share my testimony at a gathering in November.  Praise the Lord! I have been praying for more opportunities and ask you to please pray for opportunities for my ministry.  Please share my page with others so we can get the word out! I would love to see the number of "likes" grow!
Well as in the last post, I shared with you about power.  I feel that I have a little more to share with you.  You see, if you have asked the Lord Jesus to save you and you beleive that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died and rose again on the third day then you are a child of the King of Kings and you have been given power through God.  However sometimes we turn the power off on our end or maybe just don't use it.  Maybe sometimes we even feel like we do not need it. But oh are we wrong...because we ALWAYS need God's power.  For without God, we cannot do anything.
Let me explain this concept to you by way of an example.  I am sure you have all seen or used a flat iron (or even a regular iron for your clothes).  Even if you have not, just follow along with the example, I'm sure you can find a way to relate.  Well when you plug in your iron, it is plugged into the power source- electricity.  Well just because its plugged in does not mean it is ready to use.  You have to do something on your end.  You have to hit the switch to turn the iron into the "on" position.  There is an "on" button and "off" button.  Well unless you turn it "on", it does you no good because it does not heat up.  Well the same thing applies to you as a Christian.  When we accept Christ, we are plugged in to the ultimate Power source-- Jesus.  WOW! However just because we are plugged in, does not mean we are using it.  We must turn ourselves to the "on" position to serve, glorify, and honor God with our lives.  We need to make our life a sacrifice to God to truly live for Him all the way.  Now that was a silly example by using an iron because electricity is nothing compared to the glory of our Father in Heaven, but I hope you see the example I was trying to get across.
You see friends, God wants us to turn the power on, on our end.  We must not sit around and do nothing.  You have to get out and turn on your source of power by using it!
So we need to get out there and allow our (and yes, I am talking to myself too here!) power light change from "off" to "on" today as we enter the mission field of our world.

Acts 1:8 tells us that when we receive Jesus- the Holy Spirit enters us and gives us power.  Here is the verse-- "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth"

Romans 1:16 says- "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

Ephesians 6:10 says- "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might."

Routine part 2- True Power!

Hey everyone,
Hope you are all having a good week!
Well as we talked about routine last week, I would like to go into a part 2 of "routines".
I believe that I as well as I am sure some of you get focused on a routine and stick to it.  Now occasionally we venture out and do something unexpected although many of us tend to stay close to what we know is safe.   As my electricity and water went off a couple days ago, I was reminded how blessed we truly are to enjoy such things.  Not having electricity and water breaks up the routine a little bit, doesn't it?! Can't exactly do everything you would normally do without a power source.
Question- How many times do we leave the one TRUE power source throughout our routine of everyday life?
I know that I as many of you do forget about the Power we have in our LORD JESUS! HE alone is our only true source of hope and power.  We cannot rely on our own power sources to provide enough for us.  We do not even have true power unless we have believed on JESUS and asked HIM to save us.  However when we do accept God's free gift of salvation, we are given power to rely on.  God gives us strength for everyday and although sometimes we do not feel as if we have anything else to give...that is when more of God's great power shines through.  I hope you will return to your true power source today and not run dry of the power that our Lord so freely gives to those who have accepted HIM! He never runs dry of power and with God you will not run dry either! Get power back in your life today if you feel as though you have turned off your Power source.  Ask God to fill you with HIS power and strength.  He freely gives to those who ask and truly believe.

Matthew 7:7 says - "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

Hey Everyone!
Hope you are having a fabulous summer!  My summer has been going very good! Let me encourage you today-

Routine- a word that some love and some do not love! Some of you may be getting ready to go back into the school routine.  Maybe your lazy days are soon to be over or maybe you never had any to start with! However as we gear up for a new school year, let me encourage you to place your true identity in our Heavenly Father!  As you start back to school or send kids to school, remember that what you do or how crazy busy your life becomes doesn't make you who you are.  Sometimes we try to find peace or identity in outside sources such as grades, maybe beauty, maybe even how much money you spend or how much you save.  Maybe you are trying to find it in other people.  Nothing earthly that you search for to try to bring you happiness will last.  The only way we can find our true identity is in CHRIST! HE gives you freedom from your sins, HE brings you joy and hope and peace that will last for eternity.  Do not let things in this world make you feel identified because we want to be identified with CHRIST, not the world.

Psalm 40:2 - "He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings."

Remember HE brings us up out of the horrible world that we live in and sets us upon a rock so that we can find our true identity in HIM!

John 16:33 - "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

Lean not unto your own understanding!

Hi friends,
I have not posted in so long and I apologize for that! I have been so blessed these past few weeks and the LORD has graciously allowed me to be extrememly busy! I love to be busy--love being able to do things! As GOD has been giving me topics throughout the past few weeks for my blog, I have just been writing them down so that I could remember a topic that I felt I should share! I have some catching up to do, but find it exciting that I have been able to enjoy many blessings throughout the last month! Psalm 100:5-"For the LORD is good, HIS mercy is everlasting, and HIS truth endureth to all generations."

Well as we look into a verse today that is so familiar to many people and a favorite to some, I think all to often we overlook the second part of the verse and simply say it just because its there.  But truly I feel we do not completly think about the meaning that it provides us.
Proverbs 3:5 - "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding."
SO often we think "trust in the LORD"--that is what I need to do -- "trust in the LORD!"
YES, friends that is what we need to do --trust! Although the verse goes on to say "lean not unto thine own understanding."  GOD knows what we need and HE always supplies us with everything we need.  HIS Word is a huge source of strength to us.  HE tells us to "lean not unto our own understanding."  That means what you feel may or could or might happen or maybe you feel something should happen--- HE tells us to not rely on what we think.  We must rely on what HE knows! All too often we forget or read over that part of the verse, not considering what insight it has for our lives.  But I feel that the second part of Proverbs 3:5 is just as important as the first part. Trusting is a huge part of getting to know GOD although it does not stop there we all must remember that we cannot lean on our understanding.  We sometimes cannot understand the ways of our Almighty Father--HE knows so much more than us!  HE knows what you and I need and when and how we need it!  We must remember that GOD is omniscient, omnopresent, and omnipotent! This means HE is all knowing, HE is All present being everywhere at once and HE is All powerful! HE knows which path you need and HE knows what is best for you today and everyday! You must remember that you need to not lean on your understanding of situations but rely on GOD's understanding! God is powerful and you are powerful through HIM who made you!

Is anything too big for GOD? - NO!

NO, nothing is too big for our GOD! HE is in control of everything and HE can change any situation!  Do you ever experience the feeling that something you have done is too big for GOD to forgive? You may think that what you have done is something that GOD could not forgive.  But let me encourage you today friend, that everything you have done can be forgiven.  I think sometimes we forget to remember that GOD is bigger and greater than our failures.  HE does forgive and nothing is too big for HIM to forgive! HE knows you have sinned and HE knows that we as humans have a sin nature.  Give your failures and your sins over to HIM today! And let me also encourage you to forget about what you have done- forgive yourself.  I think so many times we ask for forgiveness and then we do not believe we have been forgiven.  Satan tries to bring your sins back to your mind and you may feel as if you must continue to ask for forgiveness, but GOD puts our sins as far as the East is from the West so if GOD chooses to forget about what sins we have done when we ask for forgiveness--why don't we forget them too.  Salvation does not come from good things we do- what an encouragement!! It would be hopeless if we had to do good works to get into Heaven because we are all sinners!  So many people think we must be good to get into Heaven, but the Bible tells u that it is not so.  Good works give no hope- a person can be good but yet not be saved.  A person can pray and go to church and still not be a Christian.  The only way to have salvation is to ask the LORD JESUS into your heart and believe that HE died and rose again.  We can't get to Heaven on our own strength, that being said good works will not get us anywhere.  Now after we have asked JESUS into our hearts, we should want to obey HIM and we should want to do good things for JESUS although the works will not bring us salvation.  GOD offers us a gift of salvation but we have to receive the gift! Just as if someone wanted to hand you a gift- it wouldn't be yours until you took it.  Accept the gift that GOD is offering today!  JESUS wants to save all today-- HE has HIS arms open wide so you can come as you are! No sin is too great for JESUS, come to HIM today and give HIM everything you have!

Psalm 103:12 - "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath HE removed our transgressions from us."

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are us saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of GOD: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Titus 3:5- "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to HIS mercy HE saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the HOLY GHOST;"

Galatians 3:26- "For ye are all the children of GOD by faith in CHRIST JESUS."

Tuesday, April 17, 2012 -Faith...YES!

Hey everyone!!!
Words of encouragement for today...
Let me remind you all of something we all too often forget about...its called FAITH! As we go about our day we forget about our faith and often just think something may have happened by "chance".  "Chance" doesn't exist for us....everything we do and receive happens because GOD planned it out that way.  When you are able to get a close parking space, GOD ordained that...thank HIM for it! When you have to park far away and you are frustrated...remember that GOD had a reason for you not being able to find a closer space.  Maybe HE has allowed you to have a better witnessing field while you are walking through the parking lot.  Nothing happens by chance, only by a perfect plan that our HEAVENLY FATHER has laid out for us.  All we have to do is to follow the LEADER! GOD is our LEADER! We must just trust HIM! I really wanted to encourage you to look at your day differently...instead of getting frustrated at those little problems we have, (which I know we all do!), remember that GOD has your life planned out and what happens, happens for a reason.  GOD is in control so let us thank HIM today and stay encouraged by HIS word!

Psalm 37:23- "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way."

Psalm 3:8

Hello Everyone!
Hope you are all having a fabulous week!!!
Would like to apologize for the color of the last post...I just clicked on a color and did not check to see what it looked like on my blog.  It was brought to my attention that it was unreadable because of the color of the text!! I have changed the color so go back and check it out!

An encouraging word for today..... Love the LORD with everything you have! Be thankful in everything and remember that the LORD is in control of your life! HE loves us!! A verse that I love is Psalm 3:8- "Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah."
This verse reminds us that salvation comes from the LORD alone.  We cannot be freed from this world or sin unless we accept the LORD's free gift of salvation.  It is an easy gift to recieve--all we have to do is admit that we have sinned, believe that JESUS died on the cross and rose again and ask the LORD to come into our heart and save us!! Salvation lasts forever...once you have accepted CHRIST!!! The blessing of salvation is given to the people who believe and ask the LORD into their life.  And then the end of the verse says Selah...which means that we need to stop and think about what the verse really means.  Think about how special it is that the CREATOR of the world loves you and I enough to send HIS only SON to die for us!! How amazing!!!

Happy Resurrection weekend!

Hey Everyone!!!! Hope you are having a fabulous day in the LORD!
As Easter is so close and quickly approaching...I encourage you all to thank JESUS for the sacrifice HE made for you!!! HE died a horrible death worse than anything anyone could ever imagine for us! Wow! How amazing HE is to love us so much that HE would take every sin on HIMSELF so that we could spend eternal life with HIM! HE loves us so much! Are we really thankful enough for what GOD did for us?...HE died and suffered more than we will ever have too.  Do we thank HIM for rising again from the dead?! Think about it...we would not have hope except that GOD allowed HIM to rise from the dead! How marvelous-how wonderful! We have hope because HE is alive!!!!! HE is alive today! Wow!!! Allow HIM to have all of you!!!!!

Something GOD allowed me to think about the other day- "When your life feels like its falling apart, ask JESUS to pick up the pieces for you and HE will put you back together!"

Thank GOD today for what HE has done for us!!!!!

Matt. 28:6-10 - "HE is not here:for HE is risen, as HE said. Come, see the place where the LORD lay. And go quickly, and tell HIS disciples that HE is risen from the dead; and, behold, HE goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see HIM: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly form the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring HIS disciples word. And as they went to tell HIS disciples, behold, JESUS met them, saying, 'All hail'. And they came and held HIM by the feet, and worshipped HIM. Then said JESUS unto them, 'Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me'."

Hi everyone!!!
Hope you all are doing well!!
A few encouraging words for today~ Are you waiting for something in your life?? Maybe you are waiting for GOD's healing, or maybe for a new job, or to meet a new friend.  Are you waiting for GOD to work out a problem in your life? Maybe you are discouraged and about to give up?  Don't throw the towel not give up!!! Keep waiting and keep trusting!!! Our LORD has a plan and a purpose for you and everything you are going through.  Keep holding out for what GOD has in store for you!! HE has something great for you, we just have to continue waiting and keeping your hopes up! HE will do what is best in the best timing.  So even when you do not understand the purpose of HIS plan, keep on and keep trusting! Don't quit! The LORD has not given up on you so do not give up on HIM! As you go about your day know that everything is going to be ok and it will work out for your good! Keep trusting in HIM!

Philippians 4:4 - "Rejoice in the LORD alway, and again I say rejoice."
Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge HIM and HE shall direct thy paths."
And this verse is just SO SO SO encouraging and just wow to think about!!!!

Isaiah 12:2- "Behold, GOD is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; HE also is become my salvation."

Hello everyone!
I hope you all are having a great week! Wanted to ask for prayer as I will be having a very important test this coming Tuesday.  Hoping the doctor will be able to figure out a little more from this test even though tests are just not very fun.
Know you all may be going through some type of test, whether it be family problems, job problems, health problems.  Remember that even through tests and trials GOD is always with us! HE will never leave us and HE loves us so much.  Please remember that GOD is with you wherever you are in your life!! HE wants to help you...give your load to HIM! HE will hold your hand through every step you take! As girls, sometimes we just need someone holding our hand! GOD will always hold our hand! When one door closes, and you step into a new chapter of your life, the LORD will go with you!! Stay close to HIM and treasure your time that you spend with your CREATOR!!! Make time for HIM as you go about your day.  Ask for HIS help and HIS mercy!! Trust HIM with everything! And read HIS love letter that HE wrote to you--the Bible! God's Word is so amazing and will encourage you! Take time for the LORD today and remember that HE knows everything before we do! HE will be and is with us always!!
Have a beautiful start to spring!! Spring into shape with your Spiritual fitness!!! GOD has HIS arms open wide for us today! Every sunrise and every sunset is made for you and I!! Embrace the love of your CREATOR today!!!

Song of Solomon 2:11-12 - "For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come. and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;"
Deuteronomy 31:8- "And the LORD, HE it is that doth go before thee; HE will be with thee, HE will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."

Hi Everyone!
Wanted to let everyone know that Praise the Lord, my first women's conference went well!!! The Lord helped me so much! All the glory goes to our wonderful Heavenly Father!! Please continue to pray HE opens up more opportunities for me to speak!
I hope you all have had a fantastic week!! Stay close to Jesus and seek His perfect will as you go about this spring month! As time changes tonight (Daylight Savings Time), we lose an hour of sleep.  When we think about that, sometimes it can be bad to us, because either you lose an hour of time to get things done during your day or you lose an hour you could be asleep.  GOD is not on a time schedule, so hard for us to think about! We are so overwhelmed with time.  On Earth, everything is on a time schedule, yet when we get to Heaven, we will no longer deal with time.  God has a perfect time for everything in our life although it may not be when we feel is the perfect time.  HIS timing is not always ours, and HE does have a plan for you! Trust HIM and follow through with HIS plan because it will always be best! His timing is always perfect and HE loves us so much that HE gave HIS only SON for us! How amazing to think about! HE created this day for you! Live in the freedom of GOD's protection and enjoy every moment of this day HE created for you!
Philippians 4:4-7- "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Ask GOD for help today...HE is ready and willing to take you into HIS arms of peace!

Hi everybody!

Hope you all are having a fabulous Friday! I have really not been feeling well at all today. Just been having a lot of crazy symptoms like chest pain, weakness, body pain, lightheadness, and things like that.
Tomorrow I will Lord willing be speaking at a women's conference!!! I am so blessed and excited to see what the Lord has in store! Please pray that I will feel so much better and that I am able to speak what the Lord would want me to say and that every lady there would be touched by the Holy Spirit!
A little encouraging word for today....
My favorite verse is John 16:33 - "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

What an encouragement this verse is! It reminds us that our awesome GOD has overcome the world and we have no need to be discouraged! These trials you are facing today, are not permanent! They are temporary and when you place your hope in the Lord, you have peace eternally! God does not place trials our lives because He is mad at us, He gives them to us so that He can show His mighty power and that we may grow closer to HIM! Don't be discouraged today, give your hopes and dreams to the Lord, because in His hands they are safe! Trust Him with everything you have so that it will be safe and you can enjoy this day He has created for you!

Hey Everyone! So sorry for not posting in so long! I have been doing okay, not feeling too bad but at times feeling very bad. Our God is always greater!

The Lord has created us all for a very special purpose. He has something special for each person. He has a plan for our life! How amazing to think about. Sometimes we have no plans or do not know what to plan for, but the Lord knows all of our plans and His plans for us! As we go about our day, we sometimes forget about the Almighty God who specially made you and I for a purpose. My pastor said something that we all too often forget.....God made this day for you and I! He made it for us, you are here on Earth for a purpose and you are where you are today for a purpose. Sometimes we do not understand our situation or our surroundings, but friend let me encourage you that God has a VERY special and perfect reason and plan for where you are. He loves us more than we could ever imagine. He is here to help us not harm us. God looks on us with love and we should show love back to Him. It is so easy to get wound up in our day that we forget why we are here. Sometimes we can get wound up in our thoughts and forget we have a purpose. God always has His arms wide open and He is always ready to receive us, all we have to do is ask. Ask today friend, ask Him for His provision and His help. He loves us too much for us to sit around and be down. Get out today and let your Jesus girl light shine bright! Let the world know whom you serve!!

Choose joy! "Joy is strength from the Lord!"

The end of Daniel 11:32 says; "But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." How encouraging!

Joshua 1:9- "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord the God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Hi all!
I have been doing ok and had some low sugar issues Sunday night but feeling somewhat better! Please continue to pray for healing and pray for all who suffer from health conditions!
Hope you all have had a fun filled weekend and a happy Valentine's day! How amazing is our one true Valentine that we can all have!  Hope you have enjoyed your day and spent some time worshipping the Saviour and the One who created you- your true Valentine! Remember that true love comes from our Heavenly Father alone! His love is perfect-so perfect! Unchanging love towards us that stays constant no matter what! He is always there to us to accept us and forgive us! He loves us so!! On this Valentine's day- embrace the love that flows freely from the One who loves you more than any man on Earth ever will! Allow your love to blossom into a fire for GOD that shows through you! Today I have decided to give everything to GOD! Give it all to Him! Surrender your all to Him...give Him everything! Make a decision every day to show compassion to others and give your all to GOD! He is our Saviour and He wants you to accept His gift of salvation! And if you have accepted God's gift of salvation- thank Him for saving you! God GAVE His SON for us! How amazing and what a true example of love!

Hey Everyone!
Hope you all had a fabulous Friday! I have had a good day after a few bad days with my symptoms from my medical condition! Praise the Lord! I was able to go paint ceramics at a pottery store with my best friend! What a special gift from God she is! I hope all of you ladies have special friends that you can talk too! Our Heavenly Father always cares about us and HE will always be our best friend! As I have a little calendar that sits on my desk, it has something encouraging for each day and today it was a verse from Psalm chapter 56. It was Psalm 56:3-"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee."  Definitely a verse I need each day! I feel like we all have worries and fears that consume us at times and God wants us to just lay everything down at HIS feet because HE will take care of it! We worry so much, but it will never make the situation any better.  We must let go and let GOD! I find it funny that satan tries to discourage us and make us worry when he does not even know what the future holds for us.  GOD does know what our future holds and HE has it all taken care of! Here is something to think about....I thought about this one day and have to remind myself that worry is not from God. This is a little quote I came up with- The devil is the one who does not know the future, yet he tries to ruin your future.  Woah....he is trying to ruin our future, we must allow GOD to stop him and remember that God is the stronghold of our lives!

I hope that you all have a blessed weekend! Thanks so much for all the kind comments! I really appreciate the love and support!

Good Morning everybody!
Hope everyone is having a great day! Thanks for the kind comments on my last post! Very excited to have a new blog! Just wanted to share some encouraging words with you this morning and tell you a little about what I have.  I have been diagnosed with Dysautonomia which has been caused from a genetic disorder called Mitochondrial disorder.  Now I know those are some big words, basically my autonomic nervous system does not function properly which controls all involuntary functions of the body.  This is a chronic disease although I believe in the HEALER! He is my SAVIOUR! HE can heal me from these illnesses! Please pray for earthly healing!
Now to give you all some encouraging words for today...  The Lord created us and HE knows everything about us from how many hairs we have on our head to the health problems we have to our worries and our dreams and even what shampoo is our favorite! How amazing to think about!!! As you go about your day remember Who created you and how much HE loves you! He knows absolutely everything about you and your life and HE cares! We are all someone so special and important to our wonderful Heavenly Father! HE longs to be our best friend! How amazing!
Luke 12:7-"But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."
AND AGAIN! in Matthew 10:30-31- "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."
He loves us so much..
Have a beautiful and blessed day!

Hi everyone!
I have heard so much about this blogging thing...decided to start one! I thought about setting up a website for my ministry, but thought a blogging website would be much easier! I have several health conditions and I want to start sharing my testimony and story of hope to churches in the area! I would love to eventually have a large enough ministry to be able to travel and speak at women's conferences.  I have been asked to speak at my first women's conference in March at a local church and I am very excited! I ask that you all pray that God continues to open doors for me to speak at conferences! Let me tell you a little bit about my ministry- my logo is HOPE ministries with a flower for the O in hope and it stands for Having Peace Eternally.  The goal of this ministry is to not only help women stay strong through difficult times during life but ultimately to spread the Word of our awesome and powerful Heavenly Father! He gives eternal peace! I am so thankful that the Lord has given me an opportunity to start a ministry for HIM! Please pray for this and I will be trying to post something encouraging each day or every other day! Hope you all have a blessed week!

Philippians 4:13- "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!"
